Introduction
Eight candles represent the eight nights of Hanukkah. The ninth candle is called the shamash. It is used to light the other candles. The shamash is made to stand out by not being placed at the same height or in the same line as the other candles.
Ingredients
10 clean baby food glass jars
Olive oil
Floating wicks
Preparation
Step1
Fill 9 jars halfway with water.
Step 2
Pour ½ inch of olive oil in each jar.
Step 3
Place the floating wick on top of the oil.
Step 4
Arrange 8 jars in a row.
Step 5
Place the 9th jar on top of the empty jar to double its height. This is your shamash.
Step 6
Light the shamash wick with a match.
Step 7
Use the shamash to light the olive oil candles.
